Award winning Marine Dynamics specialize in shark cage diving and viewing in Gansbaai, Western Cape, South Africa. This incredible cage diving experience on board our custom designed boat, Slashfin (named after one of our visiting sharks), is by far the most thrilling adventure on a life time. An on board marine biologist will educate you on all marine life encountered while out at sea. We are certified by Fair Trade in Tourism, live by our motto of ‘Discover and Protect’ and work together with the Dyer Island Conservation Trust. The African Penguin and Seabird Sanctuary is the most recent project of the Trust and serves as a rehabilitation centre for sick and ill seabird species, with a special focus on the endangered African Penguin. We are involved in shark research which includes shark fin identification and tagging and tracking the great white sharks. You will leave with great memories and a deep appreciation of all marine life. And along the way, you can view the rest of our Marine Big 5 – whales, dolphins, seals and the African penguin, as well as incredible seabirds. We are only 2 hours drive from Cape Town along a scenic route. The trip includes an educational briefing, breakfast or lunch; refreshments on board; a complimentary drink on return with warm soup and bread; towels, clean wet-suits, goggles as well as a free visit to our African Penguin and Seabird Sanctuary. What must we bring?
Swimsuit/bathing costume is very important. This will be worn underneath your wet-suit while diving. Warm clothes as it gets colder out at sea than on land. Camera, sunscreen and a hat/cap in summer or a beanie in winter. Please use anti-seasick medication well in advance if you are prone to motion sickness.

This is a full day trip activity that can vary between 6 - 10 hours, depending if you are using our transport from Cape Town. Time spent out at sea is normally 2 - 4 hours, depending on shark activity and sea conditions.
